OUR ORIGIN STORY
Project Mule is the entrepreneurial vision, born in 2018 by Ashley and her partner after a holiday in Indonesia, of a life and profession that would marry their business skills, desire for autonomy, and hunger to build something that gave them professional fulfilment.
They fell in love with the idea of being accountable to grow, innovate, and nurture a business that connects to its community. Project Mule is the vehicle through which Ashley will pursue her dream of operating a kick business.

She is an operations and supply chain professional with 15 years of experience across manufacturing, medical devices and FMCG. Prior to starting Project Mule she worked in management consulting, corporate and SMEs. She brings with her the professional experience, resilience and accountability to spearhead the successful acquisition and growth of an established business through its next stage.

For Ashley, the decision to pursue Entrepreneurship through Acquisition is one that marries together who she is and who she wants to be in this life: resilient, dynamic, master of business, pragmatic, genuine and self made.

What about the mule?
Unlike horses, donkeys aren’t easily startled. Even when they are, they don’t panic.

Donkeys stop to assess the situation, a trait that's commonly confused with stubbornness. This surefootedness paired with strength — they can carry up to twice their own body weight — make them ideal "beasts of burden."

Once a donkey bonds with a herd of sheep, cattle or goats, it will protect the animals as it would its own, keeping dogs and coyotes at bay.
